Bells Rehung at St Mary’s

The restored bells at St Mary’s Church have been rehung and are ready to be rung, but unfortunately, this will not happen in the immediate future.  Covid-19 protocols and social distancing mean it will be some time before they will be heard properly.

They were inspected last Thursday (1st April) by a representative of the Guild Tower and Bells, signed off, and the paper work completed.

One of the bells will toll at the funeral service of Harald Drew on Tuesday 6th April at 10:30am, in recognition of the work Harald did for the church over the years.
