EMERGENCY PLAN
The Parish Council’s Emergency Plan will provide the basic framework for a co-ordinated local response in the event of widespread and/or prolonged emergencies. Such emergencies can include extreme weather, major traffic or transport accident, prolonged loss of electricity and influenza epidemic. The plan is being designed to be a self-help guide to the resources available within the community for support in a crisis, and the particular procedures to be followed for specific crises, especially if the emergency services or relevant local authority support is delayed due to the scope and nature of the emergency. The Emergency Plan is currently in development and will be made available to all parishioners upon completion. For more information please contact the Parish Clerk in the first instance.

CLOSE TO THE VEG is a small market garden, producing fresh fruit and vegetables for local people. Based on the Northmoor Trust Estate, near Wittenham Clumps, the produce is all grown using environmentally friendly methods and no chemicals. Clare Ferguson aims to create a thriving ecosystem where frogs, ladybirds and beetles take care of the pests, and the vegetables take care of themselves. A warm welcome waits every second Tuesday of the month in the Village Hall at 7.30pm. We have a full programme of varied speakers and events, locally, county - and nationwide.
