Apple Day Postscript

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the third Village Apple Day last Saturday, 13th October.

Unfortunately there was not such an abundant apple harvest in the village as in previous years.  This was probably due to lack of rain earlier in year; apples came early for some and not at all for others.  Despite this, a total of 362kg of various varieties produced approximately 230 bottles of delicious juice.

There are a few bottles of pasteurised juice available for sale at £3 per bottle, on a first come first served basis – contact Sally Duff on 01865 407788/07899 097612 or email richsal2000@yahoo.co.uk.

A huge thank you to Gabriel Hemery and the Sylva Foundation for hosting the day and to all those who brought apples, helped production and bought the juice.
