Bells Returned to St Mary’s

The project to restore and retune the bells at St Mary’s Church is nearing completion, with the bells returned to the church from the restorers yesterday (22nd March) – see the photograph below.

There will be a short service for the blessing of the bells on Thursday 25th March with only a small number of people attending owing to Covid restrictions.

On Friday 26th and Saturday 27th March, between 10am and 4pm, residents are invited to St Mary’s to see the bells before they are re-hung next week.  Masks must be worn and social distancing observed.
