      Come and enjoy a simple lunch of home-made soup, bread and cheese, Fairtrade biscuits and coffee or tea.

      There is a minimum donation of £4 (which can be gift-aided) with all the proceeds going to our chosen charities which this year are:-

      Ragalla Aid which helps families in Sri Lanka with a Long Wittenham connection through Helen Monaghan

      Headway, a nationwide charity providing help and support to people who have been affected by brain injury or disease. The Oxford branch is based in Kennington and helps over 400 people, some from our Bridge Group villages.

      The Twinning Association AGM will be held this year in Long Wittenham Village Hall followed by “Sweets & Fizz”

      This year we will be welcoming our friends from Thaon on a return visit at the end of May and would welcome any offer of accommodation for families, couples or singles. You don’t need to speak French, it’s all very relaxed.

      We will again be giving a £100 Student Bursary to further learning of French this year and welcome enquiries.

      A Litter Pick has been organised for Saturday morning of 14th April.

      As always we are looking for as many volunteers as possible

      We do hope that those of you who have been involved with previous picks will be happy to help again, but we will also be very pleased to see new faces.

      We will be starting from the village hall at 10.00am. Pickers and sacks will be provided. Gloves and wheelbarrows will be very useful if you can bring them.

      If you have a particular area of the village you would like to concentrate your picking efforts on please let me know beforehand and that will be arranged.

      Otherwise we look forward to seeing many of you at the village hall on the morning of the 14th.

      Refreshments will be available in the hall during the morning
