Carers Oxfordshire

The Parish Council has been asked to make residents aware of Carers Oxfordshire.

Carers Oxfordshire is a free service for all unpaid adult carers in Oxfordshire provided by Action for Carers Oxfordshire in partnership with Rethink Mental illness.

Its goals are:

  • To help people recognise their role as a vitally important carer so that they can access the support to which they are entitled;
  • To make the caring journey easier by enabling carers to navigate what can be a confusing system;
  • To work with carers to help them find ways to care for themselves as they care for someone else;
  • To encourage and champion all carers in their caring role.

The past year has been incredibly difficult for unpaid carers with many providing more care during the pandemic and with many more people becoming carers for one or more family members as a result of the pandemic.

If you, or anyone you know, would benefit from Carers Oxfordshire’s free practical advice and information, visit its website or call 0345 050 7666.
