Clifton Hampden Bridge Open

Clifton Hampden Bridge has re-opened to traffic after weeks of closure following work on strengthening part of the river bank and removing vegetation.  The bridge re-opened yesterday (Thursday 1st April), earlier than scheduled.

Going Forward buses will resume its Monday service to shops at Didcot, and Thames Travel has re-started services from Didcot to the Culham Science Centre and Berinsfield.  Both companies’ services run via Long Wittenham and Clifton Hampden.

It’s a pity no one thought to fill up all the potholes while the bridge was closed and traffic light. The High Street and Maddy had dozens of holes which were outlined in white and then nothing happened! Joined up thinking??

Precisely David. They have painted around the potholes to highlight them and Geoff was convinced they would do them while the road was closed and dry.

Another set of traffic lights to look forward to in the future.
