Clifton Hampden Road Junction Works

Oxfordshire County Council now expects work at the junction of the A415 Abingdon Road and B4015 Oxford Road in Clifton Hampden to upgrade the signals mode of operation from the existing Vehicle Actuated system to MOVA (Microprocessor Optimised Vehicle Actuation) to commence on Monday 13th November 2017.

This is the update from OCC Environment & Economy (E&E) Department:

“Following a site meeting we have modified the extent of work to be carried out with a view to keeping inconvenience to a minimum.  We intend to use temporary signals only during off-peak periods (with the possible exception of a section of works in the High Street which may require them to be deployed over a 24 hour period – work will not be carried out outside of peak hours) and we have relocated the outermost detector loop distances on the B4015 to reduce excavation works.”

For enquiries regarding the work as it progresses you can contact Mike Wasley of OCC E&E at mike.wasley@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
