Computer Appeal

The primary school Head Teacher, Ms Bellingham, has asked the Parish Council to pass on a huge thank-you to villagers for their extremely generous donations following the recent appeal for computers to help children with home learning.

Offers of both computers and tablets were received, as well as financial support, to enable families to work remotely during lockdown.

The school now has nine brand new laptops ready for installation, as well as the eleven devices dropped into the school.  The Department for Education has also given the school three more from its allocation so it is now able to help “virtually” a vast number of families with the equipment needed to continue their remote learning.

Ms Bellingham and parish councillor Steve Brown are overwhelmed by the response from the village during these difficult times.
