Didcot Garden Town

Didcot has been chosen by the government to be a new Garden Town.  What does this mean for the town and neighbouring communities?  What does it mean for you?  Will it impact on Long Wittenham?

South Oxfordshire District Council says the project is a unique opportunity to make Didcot a more green and pleasant place in which to live and work.  In addition to supporting 20,000 new jobs and 15,000 new homes the district council will be exploring how the town can be improved to benefit everyone.

The council is calling on people to share their views and help shape Didcot Garden Town.  There are opportunities for the public to find out more about the project at two drop-in events at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot.

The first event is on WEDNESDAY 9th NOVEMBER between 7pm and 8pm. The second drop-in session is all day THURSDAY 10th NOVEMBER between 10am and 8pm.

In addition there is an interactive website containing more details and for the public to give their feedback about the project.
