Didcot Road Works 15th to 19th May

The Parish Council has been advised that work on Didcot Road to connect the street lighting and zebra crossing beacons will take place between Monday 15th and Friday 19th May.

There will be two-way traffic signals so delays are likely.  See the details below from the One.Network website.

Once the work is completed, it is expected that the temporary signage around the traffic calming build-out will be removed and that the zebra crossing will be operational.

Does anyone know when the street lights & crossing will be switched on? They have only been in since March 2022??

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Dear Debra.
The PC is just as frustrated as everyone else about these long delays with fixing the street lamps and sorting out the zebra crossing.
We have been nagging Elivia but they blame SSE.
We also keep emailing OCC Highways to get Elivia to sort it all out but there is very little action from either OCC or Elivia.
If anyone wishes to complain please report the problems on Fix my Street as that sends reports to the correct team in Highways. https://www.fixmystreet.com/

The more reports they get perhaps they will get the message that everyone is really frustrated.
