Fun Run Update

It’s only a few days until the Fun Run this Sunday, starting at The Plough at 11am.  The great news is that the weather forecast looks really good for the weekend.  Remember, it’s a family event so the whole family can take part, and there are trophies for under 8s, under 12s, under 18s, adults and over 50s.

The 5km (3 miles) route is cross country, exploring Neptune and Paradise Woods, and there is a drinks station half way around.  There will be a barbecue afterwards, kindly run by the pre-school, and raising money for the pre-school and other village causes.

You can enter on the day, or in advance by Eventbrite, which you can do online until Friday night.  It will save time, and is cheaper than entering on the day.

Alternatively, it’s even cheaper if you deliver your entry form by hand (details on the entry form).  Download the form from www.longwittenham.com/events.  Entries on the day have a surcharge of £1 and will need to be processed before 10.45am.  There may be a long queue, so download an entry form and bring it with you to save time.

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to help.  There are still have one or two posts to fill, one of which is someone to take photos of runners as they finish, and also someone who could write certificates out for the finishers.
