Garden Waste Collections Suspended

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has announced that, owing to the new lockdown regulations, it has had to suspend garden waste collections and is not taking on new garden waste customers until further notice.  This will enable its contractor to focus on essential services including household collections while building resilience in its workforce to allow for increased staff shortages due to illness.

Christmas trees will still be collected from the verge outside Bodkin’s but it may be a few days later than advertised.  This collection is for Christmas trees only; no other garden waste will be collected.

Householders with brown bins are advised to hold on to their Christmas trees until garden waste collections are resumed.

    Will we be advised when the service will resume ie a public notice or letter to thos that have signed up and paid for a bin …. as I understand the contract is for 20 collections a year when does the year run from ….
