Coronavirus

The Parish Council is co-ordinating activities in the village to help in the current crisis.

Do You Need Help?

There are many people in the village who might benefit from a range of help including shopping, collecting prescriptions, dog walking, daily contact with someone by email or phone etc.

Those who may need help include the elderly, those with health issues, those who are self isolating and those who rely on public transport for shopping or errands.

If you need help of any kind see the contacts at the bottom of the page.

Volunteers

If you would like to be on the volunteer list, then also get in touch giving your contact details and an idea of what you are willing to do.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions can be collected from Clifton Hampden Surgery as long as it has been given the name of the person collecting, either by phone or email.  There is a long list of volunteers who are willing to do this.

Clifton Hampden Dispensary is extremely busy and collectors have to wait outside; there is no admittance to the surgery.

For residents at other local surgeries it may be possible have the same arrangement, so please enquire.

Support Group for Mums with babies and young children

This has been set up by Emily Smout who can be contacted on 07745 552227.

Newspaper Deliveries

It is hoped to arrage a newspaper delivery serviceif there is enough demand.  If you would like to have a newspaper delivered the newspapers will be sourced from Clifton Hampden Stores and brought to The Plough, or they can be delivered to your door.  The same goes for basic items such as bread and milk.

If you would like to take up this offer please email cathnicholson63@gmail.com with the following details:

Your name
Your address
Your telephone number
Newspaper
Delivery to your home or pick up at The Plough
Days you would like the paper
Method of payment (Vouchers/BACS/Cheque/ Cash)

Payment will be made weekly in the first instance until the best way to do this is determined.  An optional delivery fee is suggested which will go to village funds.

It is also possible for garden items to be picked up from the Root One garden centre – our local independent garden centre.  Please contact cathnicholson63@gmail.com.
