Joint Statutory Spatial Plan

Local planning authorities are embarking on an Oxfordshire Joint Statutory Spatial Plan (JSSP) that will set out the development framework for the county right through to 2050.

The Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor proposals envisage transformational levels of growth over that period.  It is therefore vital that the Plan includes strong policies that will protect the countryside and bring positive benefits to rural communities.

Over the autumn Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) Oxfordshire is hosting public events to raise awareness of the JSSP and encourage our decision-makers to engage with local communities.  These events offer an opportunity to find out more and to input into CPRE’s own vision for rural Oxfordshire in 2050, as it campaigns for the right development in the right place.

Cllr Will Hall, SODC representative on the JSSP member sub-group, will be joining CPRE Oxfordshire at a public meeting on Monday 19th November 2018 from 7pm to 9pm at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ.

There is more information about the JSSP and the events on the CPRE Oxfordshire website:
