Many residents will be aware that The B4016 Lady Grove was not closed yesterday as had been expected. The Parish Council contacted the contractors and has received the following email:
Lady Grove Didcot Gasworks
Our initial closure date was set for 17/08/20.
Due to other works unrelated to the gas replacement work we have now been asked to move the closure date back to 31/08/20 by Oxford CC.
The TTRO was amended and the new date should have been advertised accordingly.
I will make arrangements to have the signage changed to reflect new closure dates and request additional letters to be sent to residents via SGN.
Our works have started yesterday and will continue through until 31/08/20 under temporary traffic lights when required.
This work is to include the decommissioning of the existing gas main in preparation for the insertion of new plastic main once the closure can go in to ensure we remain on target for completion date.

The Parish Council has not been advised of this change by Oxfordshire County Council, but if new information is received, it will be posted here.
