Members of the parish council recently had a meeting with representatives of the North East Didcot Partnership, the project team responsible for delivering the housing development on the fields next to Lady Grove up to the B4016. The scheme includes 1,880 houses, a leisure facility, a commercial area, new primary schools, a secondary school, sports and play provision and new areas of public open space.
The project team presented the latest plan of the development and talked through the expected timeline of delivery. Work is expected to start later this year on the first 300 houses at the southern end of the site together with the necessary roads and infrastructure. The project is expected to take between eight and nine years to complete.
