Save The Dates

The Friends of St Mary’s have two exciting events lined up for the New Year.

On Friday 8th March television’s Antiques Roadshow expert Jonty Hearnden will be hosting a light-hearted and entertaining evening in the Village Hall where members of the audience will pit their knowledge against one another as they become antique ‘experts’ and try to value antiques which they bring along.  Jonty will talk about the antiques and eventually reveal his own valuations.  The winner will be the person or group that is closest to his totals.

On Saturday 4th May, Opera Anywhere will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s much loved comic opera “The Pirates of Penzance” in St Mary’s Church.  Opera Anywhere are renowned for producing unique versions of operas old and new in unusual and interesting locations, so this will be an evening not to be missed.

Both events are expected to be very popular, so put the dates in your diaries now and look out for more information and ticket availability.
