Saxons Heath Noticeboard

The public noticeboard at the entrance to Saxons Heath is to be moved to a new site on the green.

Deborah Hawkins, who lives in Westfield Road, has a group of volunteers on Facebook and Whatsapp who are keen to move the board.  Deborah said: “At its present location, the notice board is virtually inaccessible.  There is no pavement and it’s on a raised area which gets muddy and slippery.  Cars parked nearby also make access difficult”.

She said disabled people and families with children in pushchairs are unable to get near to the notice board.  “It is not in a safe location particularly with cars turning into Saxons Heath from the main road”.

The noticeboard was originally installed by the Parish Council, which agreed to support the move to the new location at its February meeting.

Sounds like good old fashioned common sense to me.
