Speed Surveys

The Parish Council has been informed by Oxfordshire County Council Highways that the speed surveys scheduled to start tomorrow (16th November) will take place on the Little Wittenham Road and on the road between the village and Clifton Hampden.

These surveys are designed to determine if the current speed limits on these roads near the village can be extended beyond their current boundaries.

The Parish Council has been assured that the speed survey to check the effectiveness of the 20mph zone will take place soon.  Once the start date is known, it will be posted here.

Could we please have a speed survey on the Didcot Road?? The speed are still ridiculous even since the humps have been made bigger.

Debbie You are so right, the speed survey should be on Didcot Road and between Clifton Hampden and Long Wittenham, Not Little Wittenham Road as started.

Sandy, you may have missed the last paragraph of the post and my reply to Debra. There WILL be a survey to check the 20mph zone, the survey that starts this week is something else. This is what the post says about the 20mph zone:

    Thank you!

A speed survey should also be done on Didcot road as traffic is still coming in to the village far too fast. It Needs Sorting.
