Long Wittenham Pre-School has been shortlisted for a cash boost from the Tesco Community Grants initiative. Three groups in every community will now bid to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores (Didcot Superstore, Cockcroft Express, Cholsey Express and Goring Express) to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.
Voting is open in October, November and December and you are encouraged to cast a vote for the Pre-School’s project using a blue token given to you at the check-out each time you shop.
The school’s project is raising funds to replace its indoor play equipment with a modern, lightweight jungle gym/climbing frame that will provide a safe and secure structure for the children to use. The new equipment will engage the children in fun physical activities such as climbing, sliding and exploring which helps them to develop physical coordination, strength, flexibility and social skills.
Please support the village Pre-School and encourage friends, neighbours and grandparents all to consider voting for its project!
