Time on Your Hands? Want To Get Involved?

Do you have some time to spare to help others? Does the idea of giving an hour or two each week to help those less fortunate sound appealing?

Do you have skills and experience that could help a local organisation?

If you can answer yes to any of the above questions then visit the `VOLUNTEERS DAY` event at Didcot Civic Hall on Saturday 10th March between 10am and 3pm.

Arranged by Didcot Rotary Club and Didcot First, the day is for the benefit of all Charitable Organisations in the Didcot Area.

The organisers are appealing for anyone who feels they ‘want to get involved’ to come and see what is on offer.

Members of Didcot Rotary Club are convinced that many people have the ability, time and skills to `make a difference` in their local community but just need information about the various charities that need help.

Didcot Town Mayor Phil Haywood said “I think this is a fabulous idea focussing on what the organisations are doing and their needs” a view shared by local MP Ed Vaizey who said “”I have always been hugely impressed by the amount of volunteering that goes on in the constituency. It really makes a great difference to people’s lives, whether it’s giving people lifts, helping at advice centres, or running clubs and societies. We couldn’t function as a society without volunteers, so I hope people will see this Fair as a great opportunity to use their skills or time to help the community”

Charitable Groups are encouraged to contact Colin Campbell on 01235 819597 or email: Colin@campbellandco.co.uk to book a table or for further information
