Vanderbilt Homes Amendments

Vanderbilt Homes has submitted another set of amendments (dated 24th July) to its planning application for the housing development on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road.

There are twenty-three new documents.  The deadline for comments has been set as 14th August, but given the volume of information to be reviewed, the Parish Council has asked the planning officer to increase the consultation period to allow the documents to be properly scrutinised.

The new document can be viewed and comments made here:

Have Vanderbilt submitted the archaeology report yet for public view?

It seems that Vanderbilt have attempted to address the layout and positioning of the Affordable housing/flats plus providing more on-site visitor parking spaces. Why is it possible to lower the ridge lines of some houses to a reasonable level (7.5 Metres or less) whilst others still remain at over 9 Metres?
Furthermore, I can see no apparent attempts by Vanderbilt to address the drainage and sewage-handling issues raised by the Drainage officer?

Is it possible to do a summary of changes? Or at least mark up what has changed. If the changes are a virtual replan. Then it isn’t an amendment but a new application on conserved land.
Note. Hedge has already been removed before approval and more may be needed as it isn’t in the right place necessarily.

Hi, Does anyone know when the field is going to be put back to how it was, after the archaeological dig? I live on the Didcot Road & it is a complete eyesore and much worse than ever. Also I am fed up with looking at the horrible heras fencing. Plus the poor people that have to look at that massive mound of earth up the lane. I think it is appalling the way it is all being handled.

Would also like to see a summary of the changes.
    Thanks,
