Vanderbilt Homes has submitted another planning application for its housing development on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road.
This is a ‘discharge of conditions’ which means that it deals with some of the conditions specified by the planning inspector when the outline planning permission was granted for the site in January 2018. The inspector’s report, which contains the conditions, can be viewed here:

Hi,
Could one of the councillors please advise what the difference will be. I do not quite understand the jargon. Also was the road ever approved to be moved over?
All seems to have gone quiet about this, which is one of my main issues.

These details relate to the scheme as submitted by Vanderbilt. Nothing has changed in response to the comments made on-line, or at the public meeting with Vanderbilt’s representatives last month.
Hi Debbie, I am afraid at present the plans show that the road will be relocated approx 2.5 m or 9 ft nearer to the properties opposite the Vanderbilt site entrance.
The PC did strongly object to these plans and SODC turned them down. However at Appeal a Planning Inspector over-ruled SODC and gave consent for the road to be moved.
