The Village Hall Committee held its Annual General Meeting on 22nd May. Chairman Barrie Henderson, Treasurer Martin Mellor and Bookings Secretary Jill Mellor were re-elected for another term.
Martin and Jill Mellor both announced that next year, they intend to stand down from their posts which they have held for many years. These are very important roles on the committee and the success of the Village Hall is dependent upon them.
The Village Hall is held in trust for the village and is managed entirely by volunteers. Over the course of the next year, the committee will be looking to attract new and younger people to help run one of the most important assets in the village. Residents who have used the Village Hall and benefitted from it, are urged to think about standing for the committee and assist in managing this valuable community resource.
