Village Litter Pick & Swap Shop – Saturday 1st October 10am to Noon

Swap Shop

Do you have items you no longer need that are clean & reusable?  Are there items that you would find useful to have?

The village Swapshop is set up to encourage the passing on of unwanted items to a good home and/or picking up something useful.  Most things that are non-hazardous, clean & genuinely reusable are welcome. NO money changes hands. There will be a box for those who would like to make a donation to a local cause.

What can you bring?

  • New & used tools
  • Household articles & gadgets
  • Small portable mains electric items, in working order with a CE mark & all necessary cables
  • Garden Equipment
  • Adult Bicycles (No childrens’ bikes)
  • Books, DVD’s & CD’s
  • Adult Clothing (No childrens’ clothing)
  • Curtains & soft furnishings
  • Small items of furniture
  • Sports equipment

Drop off items at the village hall from 9.30am; doors open at 10am.

Litter pick

Make Long Wittenham a village to be proud of!

We need volunteers to come along to the village hall where you will be provided with Hi-Viz jackets, gloves, rubbish bags & litter pickers.

You will then choose an area of the village that you would like to “litter pick”.  The rubbish is then returned to the village hall and you will be rewarded with tea & cake plus the pleasure of knowing you have had a part in keeping our village beautiful.

Children most welcome if accompanied by an adult.
