Westfield Play Area

Pictured below is the new play equipment at the Westfield Road play area.

The Parish Council obtained a grant for nearly half the total cost of just over £12,000 from the FCC Communities Foundation who provide grants on behalf of waste contractors.  The Wittenham Warriors also supported the project.

Standing next to the new equipment is prime mover and project manager Cllr Sally Duff who managed the vast majority of the grant application and works.

Parents are reminded that they must be “Covid Aware” if they allow their children to use the equipment and must take appropriate precautions like washing hands after playing.

Have lots of fun.

  1. Steve Brown says:

Well done to Sally and many thanks to Wittenham Warriors who contributed to the FCC system which was key condition of obtaining the grant.
The previous equipment lasted from 2006 until 2020 so our children should be able to safely enjoy the new play area for another 15-20 years.

Well done Sally Duff and to the Wittenham Warriors xxxxx
