Long Wittenham Parish Council needs to recruit new members to help create a vibrant future for the village.
The new chairman of the council Gordon Rogers said: “This is a very important year for Long Wittenham as it embarks on exciting plans which will shape the village for many years to come. We want people to become engaged. At public consultation meetings many people have shown enthusiasm for what the council is proposing to move the village forward, but we need people to play a role in helping us.”
Come along to a meeting to see how the council operates. The next meeting is on Thursday 18th May. The duties are not onerous and you will have the satisfaction of doing something for your community. There are currently two vacancies. The council would like to recruit from Saxons Heath and Westfield Road which at the moment are not represented but people living in all parts of the village are welcome to apply.
