Long Wittenham River Club

The Club was established in Spring 2025 to permit members access to the Headington School Boathouse, where the floating pontoons can be used to launch canoes, SUPs and rowing boats. It is also a safe place to enter the water for wild swimming.

The Club is open to residents of both Long Wittenham and Little Wittenham aged 18-years and above.

The Club does not own any equipment for loan or hire, members must provide their own craft and safety gear.

The boathouse itself is not accessible to club members, but there is clean water available for washing down after exiting the river.

The cost of an annual adult membership is £10 per annum for adults who wish to do paddle sports and £5 per annum for those adults who wish to just wild swim.

Members may access the site at times detailed on the calendar viewable in the members only area.
