Good Neighbours Group

The Long Wittenham Good Neighbours Group, which is sponsored by the parish council, meets in the afternoon on the second Thursday of each month.  It has a regular core membership of about twenty five members and sometimes has visits from the older children at the village school.  It provides a meeting place for residents, is open to all ages and is a valuable asset for the community.

The group usually meets in the Village Hall at 2.30pm and there is no charge (except for outings).  There is an “open door” policy and it draws in people not only from Long Wittenham but the neighbouring communities of Little Wittenham, and occasionally from Clifton Hampden and Appleford.

Members look forward to a monthly social gathering with drinks and homemade cakes and for mutual company.  Several times throughout the year there will be a speaker or sometimes visits to local places of interest.

New members are always very welcome.

Please note that, owing to the Covid pandemic, the group is temporarily suspended.
