The village stepped out in force last evening for Clap For Carers, paying tribute to NHS staff and volunteers who are helping to provide essential services during the Coronavirus emergency.
People emerged from their homes and into the streets to applaud the efforts of NHS workers and volunteers for at least two minutes. Others opened their windows and clapped.

Community bus services between Long Wittenham and Didcot face disruption as the Coronavirus emergency tightens its grip on travel and social activities.
Due to the ongoing public health risk from Coronavirus, South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has closed its office building and reception in Milton Park to the public and the majority of staff.
Local Papercraft tutor and designer, Liz Yuille, is offering to provide packs of handmade Greetings Cards to anyone in the village who is self-isolating or otherwise unable to visit the shops. She already has a good supply that cover a variety of occasions, and they are available for distribution now. The packs cover a range of occasions, including Birthday, Good Luck, Thinking of you etc, as well as many that are ‘Blank for your Special Message’.
