Sylva Wood Centre
Biographical Info
Sylva Foundation is a national environmental charity, based in Long Wittenham. It is transforming the old agricultural buildings and surrounding landscape, on the site formerly known as College Farm, by developing the Sylva Wood Centre. This houses a range of wood-related businesses, including start-up businesses in a number of ‘incubation’ units, with links to Oxford City College. Some 13 businesses now operate from the Sylva Wood Centre including furniture and cabinetmakers, sculptor, film maker and an upholsterer. Plans are underway to provide woodworking courses.
