Some residents will have noticed that the swings at Bodkins Playground have been taken down.
The swing set is very old and the timbers that support the swings have been rotting for some time. A few years ago, the Parish Council had metal supports installed to keep them safe.
However, following the last RoSPA safety inspection in July, the inspector advised that the rot is now so severe that the swings are unsafe, and so the swings have been removed.
The council is in the process of replacing them as soon as possible.
