This year’s village Bonfire Night will be held on Saturday 2nd November at its old home on Ward’s Field (behind Pendon Museum).
Tickets will be on sale from Friday 13th September at ticketebo.co.uk/LWPC/long-wittenhams-bonfire-night-2024.
This is usually a sell out event, and early bird tickets will only be on sale for a few weeks, so don’t delay, get yours as soon as possible.
Will there be fireworks?
Yes! We have a fantastic display provided by Illusion Fireworks x

You did not need to pay, as you can watch the display from any of the public rights of way that track around the East/South side of the field or along the river side. You can even access the area where the tents are, as the public right of way goes right through that area.
I walked my dog around Ward’s Field this morning (03/11/2024) and came across barriers blocking all of the public rights of way around this field and the tents also positioned across a public right of way – all of this is illegal without the appropriate temporary closure notices from the County Council. Perhaps this field is not suitable for paid events, as you cannot stop people using the public rights of way. I hope that these blockages never occur again unless the requisite permssions are obtained.
