Gardeners in the village will be pleased to hear that South Oxfordshire District Council’s free compost give-away is back.
This year, there are two events giving away locally produced compost: Saturday 7th March between 9am and 11am at Howbery Business Park, Benson Lane, Wallingford, OX10 8BA and Sunday 8th March between 9am and 11am at White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre (overflow car park), Audlett Drive, Abingdon, OX14 3PJ.
Take boxes, bags or containers (maximum of 3) and a spade. The compost will be available while supplies last.
The council’s friendly Waste and Recycling Team will be on hand to answer your composting questions and share top tips for greener living.
