Electric Blanket Testing

Oxfordshire County Council is again offering its annual free electric blanket testing for residents during September and October.

The electric blanket tests are normally very popular, with places limited, so they must be booked in advance to be guaranteed.

Appointments can be booked by visiting electric blanket testing, calling 01865 519800 (option 4) or emailing duty.officer@oxfordshire.gov.uk.

The full list of dates and locations is below.  The actual address and a specific time slot will be provided at time of booking:

Monday 22nd September – Rosehill, Oxford City
Tuesday 23rd September – Henley on Thames, South Oxfordshire
Wednesday 24th September – Bicester, Cherwell
Thursday 25th September – Chipping Norton, West Oxfordshire
Friday 26th September – Abingdon, Vale of White Horse
Monday 6th October – Risinghurst, Oxford City
Tuesday 7th October – Didcot, South Oxfordshire
Wednesday 8th October – Banbury, Cherwell
Thursday 9th October – Witney, West Oxfordshire
Friday 10th October – Wantage, Vale of White Horse

The service has been provided free of charge to residents for 26 years, and remains as valuable as ever; in 2024, of the 743 blankets tested, over 30 per cent failed.
