Wild Oxfordshire has asked the Parish Council to ask residents to complete a survey about house martins in our area.
The aim of the survey is to build a picture of the local population and understand peoples’ perceptions of them. This work is part of the Yellow Wagtail Partnership, and it is hoping to use the information to understand whether nesting space or food availability is the limiting factor for house martin success.
If Wild Oxfordshire gets a good response rate and people are interested in putting up artificial nests, they will explore funding opportunities to support this.
