Thanks to the wonderful support from the village, individuals and groups, the St Mary’s bells restoration has been completed and the village bell ringers are up and ringing once more.
The bells are a joy to ring, and a joy to hear.

A new management team is in place at Long Wittenham Athletics Club as it prepares for a new season in the North Berks League. A new secretary has been appointed and the club plans to step up social activities to raise funds for a £20,000 extension to the pavilion.
The new houses under construction by Vanderbilt Homes are now well under way, foundations laid and block work going up.
Following it’s much acclaimed performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera The Pirates of Penzance in 2019, Opera Anywhere is returning to Long Wittenham to perform Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado at St Mary’s Church at 7:30pm on Saturday 25th September.
St Mary’s Church is hosting a Summer Club for children aged between five and eleven, from 10am to 12.30pm on Monday 23rd to Friday 27th August, in the Church and Churchyard.
