The Parish Council supports the Pump Track which has been developed in Acklings playing field and congratulates the project team for their hard work in creating the new facility. By granting the track financial support of £1,000 the council has demonstrated its commitment to the project. The track is not operational at the moment because it awaits a safety audit from RoSPA – the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. Continue reading

Oxfordshire County Council has once again teamed up with Oxford Health, Oxford University Hospitals, and supplier NRS Healthcare through the “Hand it Back” campaign to encourage people to return equipment they no longer need.

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management Team at Oxfordshire County Council that roadworks will take place on Long Wittenham Road, North Moreton, from 2nd August to 6th August 2021 to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and the subsequent reinstatement of all lining and road markings.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (see below) has been issued to implement the 24 hour road closure. Continue reading

My grandson was walking his retriever, Jenga, in the field near Neptune Wood. Suddenly, a large Red Kite came down attacking the dog, breaking her leg and shoulder. She is at the vets and will be transferred to a specialist hospital in Marlow for surgery to save her life, at vast expense.

We are pleased to announce that Phase 1 of the Pump Track at Acklings is completed. Catherine Harrison and Cllr Steve Brown were the brains behind the scheme and project managed the build, securing backing from the Parish Council and finding a local builder, Will Brown, who had the experience in building these sorts of tracks to oversee the design and build.
