This is the National Property Register that anyone can use for free to log valuable items. Anything with a serial number can be entered. The roadworks which had been scheduled to start on the High Street earlier in the month, are now expected to start on Monday 26th October. The works will create new ramped cycle by-pass lanes at the two build-outs opposite Red Barn and No 35.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by 6th November.
Temporary traffic lights will be used to manage the work and road closures are not anticipated.
Oxfordshire Artweeks is open to all: amateur and professional artists/craft makers alike, galleries, community and charity groups that live or work in Oxfordshire.

The Oxfordshire Home Library Service is offered in partnership with Age UK to people who are unable to visit the library themselves through frailty, infirmity or a disability and have no other means of getting access to reading materials. Full-time carers and those who might need the service on a short-term basis following debilitating illness or hospitalisation can apply too.

With Remembrance Day just around the corner and Covid-19 restrictions still in place, the vast array of Royal British Legion volunteers are unable to distribute poppies in large numbers as normal.

The Parish Council is re-tendering two contracts for the maintenance and general upkeep of the open spaces and churchyard within the village, including grass cutting and hedge trimming on verges, sports and play areas, and also maintenance and minor repairs of fences and outdoor furniture.
The contracts will commence on 1st April 2021 and run for three years with a possible extension of one year. Continue reading
South Oxfordshire District Council is working with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) on a project to install electric vehicle charging points in a range of public car parks in 2021. As part of that work, the county council has launched a survey gathering data on residents’ opinions on electric vehicles.

The Parish Council has been advised by the Traffic Regulations Team at Oxfordshire County Council that a request has been received from the Environmental Agency for a temporary footpath closure to apply to a section of Thames Path at Day’s Lock whilst essential repair and refurbishment works on the lock gates are carried out.
The temporary closure and will operate from 16th November 2020 and the estimated duration of the works programme is four weeks. Continue reading
