The Parish Council has been advised by the Traffic Regulations Team at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) that it will be necessary to close the unnamed road between Hill farm and the junction with Little Wittenham Road whilst fire hydrant repair and maintenance works are carried out.

The Plough Inn and the Vine and Spice re-open today (4th July) and The Barley Mow resumes business on Monday (6th July).
The measure forms part of Government plans to ease the Covid-19 emergency lockdown and kick-start the economy. Pubs and restaurants closed their doors on 23rd March.

Residents will have seen the Government announcement that playgrounds can re-open on 4th July. However, the guidelines for how the playgrounds should be managed to reduce the possibilities of Covid-19 being passed between users are still very strict.

The Parish Council has been advised by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) of a new planning application in the village.

Revd David Haylett has announced that, from Sunday 28th June, St Mary’s Church will be open for private prayer on Sundays and Thursdays from 10am until 4pm, under strict conditions to prevent any spread of Covid-19 virus.
Those entering the church are requested to observe social distancing measures and use the hand sanitizer provided.
St Peter’s in Little Wittenham will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 4pm.
