Oxford City Bus Gates
The Government has asked all local authorities to introduce emergency transport schemes to facilitate safe, socially distanced transport links (particularly walking and cycling) to help restart the local economy whilst controlling the spread of Covid-19.

Timetable Changes to Bus Service
Changes to Long Wittenham’s twice weekly bus service to Didcot are being introduced on Monday 3rd August.
Going Forward Buses runs the service on Mondays and there are two buses on Wednesdays. As from Monday 3rd, the bus from the village will leave at 9.58am. On Wednesdays the services will depart at 10.15am and 1.08pm.

Village Map Update
The Village Map, a copy of which hangs outside the village hall, was originally produced in 2012 and last updated in 2017. The Parish Council has decided to update it and print a new one.

OCC Approves New River Crossing
Oxfordshire County Council’s (OCC) Cabinet has approved plans for the new road and river crossing linking Didcot with the Culham Science Centre. The decision will bring millions of pounds worth of highways improvements to the Didcot area.
The Cabinet’s move also supports a bypass for Clifton Hampden, widening of the A4130 Didcot to the A34 from a single to dual carriageway, and a new Science bridge over the road and railway into the former Didcot A power station site. See Continue reading
Social Care Consultation
Residents are being encouraged to share their experiences of adult social care to help Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) shape and improve the services it offers.
