Age UK Oxfordshire is warning of scammers who continue to try to take advantage of vulnerable people during the Coronavirus outbreak.
The latest scam tries to convince people that they have been in contact with someone who has been tested positive, pretending to be Track and Trace. They then either ask for money to send them a test, or try to get hold of their personal details. Everyone needs to be on their guard if they get a phone call or text. Continue reading

Visitors to two of Oxfordshire’s household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) are being advised of slight changes to traffic arrangements.
The traffic management just outside of Drayton HWRC and Redbridge HWRC has been altered: cars are no longer accessing site via the golf course at Drayton or the Park and Ride at Redbridge. Fresh momentum has been injected into the search for new footpaths and cycling routes between Long Wittenham and Clifton Hampden.
A team of parish councillors and residents has been revived after seven years. Previous efforts were thwarted by landowners and farmers worried by damage to crops and disturbance to grazing sheep and cattle. But it’s hoped that new landowners could be more receptive to the creation of routes for walkers and cyclists. Continue reading
