Residents will have noticed that the Vanderbilt housing site on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road is now ringed by steel fencing.
This has been done in anticipation of archaeological works on the site which are due to commence on 14th October. They are expected to take between eight and twelve weeks. Voluntary and community organisations are being invited to bid for portions of Oxfordshire County Council’s new £1m two-year grant fund, the Youth Opportunity Fund.
Entry wristbands are now available from Long Wittenham School office and Clifton Hampden Post Office for the 11th annual Village Bonfire Night on Saturday 2nd November from 6pm on Wards Field. Prices are £6 for adults, £3 for children (U4s free) and £16 for a family bundle (2 adults, 2 children).
