Please note that a temporary road closure will apply to a section of the road from Long Wittenham to Clifton Hampden whilst essential BT cabling works are carried out.

The temporary closure and will operate from 11 August 2016 for 7 nights (21:00–06:00).

It has been announced that the mobile library service in Oxfordshire will cease to operate in September 2016.  This decision was taken following extensive public consultation on proposals to make huge financial savings across all county council services.

The last round of visits will begin on Monday 5 September 2016. The final day of the service will be Friday 16 September 2016.

The Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is consulting on the views of the public on policing and crime in their local area.

The results of the survey will be used to help inform the next 5 year Police and Crime Plan

Please note that Oxfordshire County Council is to close the road leading to St. Peters Church in Little Wittenham and impose a ‘No Waiting’ restriction from 1st August 2016 for 5 days in order to facilitate carriageway maintenance works.

Thames Valley Police are working together with the Hate Crime Network (HCN) to recruit Hate Crime Champions (HCC’s) within the South and Vale area.

A hate crime is any criminal offence which is perceived, by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by a hostility or prejudice held by the offender. These prejudices surround an individual’s disability, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
