Vehicle Crime and Tool Theft Campaign

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley has asked the Parish Council to promote its crime prevention campaign which aims to inform residents about how to keep vehicles and tools safe from criminals

In the twelve months to the end of August this year, there have been 3,496 vehicle thefts and 6,666 thefts from vehicles in the Thames Valley. Continue reading

Speed Indicator Devices

Earlier this year, the village Community Speedwatch Team approached the Parish Council (PC) with a view to installing two new Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs), similar to that near the Didcot Road junction with Saxons Heath.

Recycling Centres Petition

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has proposed a number of changes to how local recycling centres are run.

The Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Barber, is concerned that the changes, if left unchallenged, will lead to an increase in waste crime and fly-tipping. Continue reading

Extra Garden Waste Collection

Residents who have purchased a permit for the district council’s brown bin garden waste collection service in South Oxfordshire can have extra garden waste collected for free on their normal scheduled collection day 31st October.

Permit holders can put out a maximum of up to four additional sacks of garden waste, per brown bin subscription, next to their brown bin. Continue reading
