Planning Application Appeal

Planning application 24/S2764/O,to build 200 houses on the land at the corner of Sires Hill and Lady Grove, was refused permission by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) on 25th March 2026.  The Parish Council had formally objected to the application as had many residents.

SODC has announced that the company behind the application, Obsidian Strategic Asset Management, has decided to appeal the decision.  It will now go to a public inquiry, date to be confirmed.

No surprise here, really. Let us all know if you need responses, speakers, etc for the Appeal. We need to fight this.

  2. Ann Tomline says:

Have the planning objections for the refusal suddenly gone away ? When will these developers put the environment and over developers before their profits . Enough is enough and we should fight this over development. The road along this stretch cannot cope with more traffic and there are no facilities so car use would be the main way to reach shops etc.
