Would you like to join the team of village Poppy Appeal Volunteers?
This year’s appeal runs from Thursday 23rd October until Tuesday 11th November. Volunteers go round the village knocking on doors and offering various poppy-related items for a donation. We try to do the door-to-door collections early on in the appeal, so we get ahead of the supermarkets if possible.
The job usually entails a couple of rounds of your route so that you give those who were out the first time to donate. Routes range from a few houses to up to fifty. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you can spare some time to help this year, and let me know how many houses you think you can cover.
