Poppy Appeal Organiser Wanted

The Royal British Legion has a vacancy for a volunteer Poppy Appeal Organiser to coordinate the Poppy Appeal in Long and Little Wittenham.  This role can be carried out by an individual or a team of people.

The role is very rewarding, and the main tasks include: taking out static collection boxes to businesses and the primary school, arranging house to house collections and counting and banking the money raised.  The Poppy Appeal Organiser is required to be available to conduct the Poppy Appeal from the end of October until the middle of November every year.

The support for our armed forces provided by the Royal British Legion is as relevant today as it was back in the years following the First World War.  From Sports-based rehabilitation courses and careers advice to dedicated care homes for older veterans, the Legion ensures that every member of the Armed Forces community and their families receive the support they need.

If you would like to find out more about this important role and to keep the Poppy Appeal going in Long and Little Wittenham, please contact Jess Jenkins, Community Fundraiser for Oxfordshire, at jjenkins@britishlegion.org.uk or telephone 07500 225 215.
