Excellent. Few nights of peace and quiet past my place with any luck. Shame they aren’t going all the way to the Didcot end of Long Wittenham. We all know how bad the potholes are on this road, so why only patch the areas where the stationary and accelerating traffic operate by the ATS. It’ll likely be ripped to shreds again inside a few months.
About time too, why not close the HighStreet at thesametime and do the job properly? Those potholes are terrible.
I shall contact OCC and ask why during the course of closure, why isn’t the highway being repaired.
Why only patching to a small section of this road? The complete section from the bridge to the other side of Long Wittenham needs re-surfacing. The minor classification of this road in no way reflects the volume of traffic it has to carry, but I suspect it will now be marginalised further until the new road is built.
