Thames Water’s proposed White Horse Reservoir (formerly known as the South East Strategic Reservoir Option, or SESRO) near Abingdon will shortly enter the formal planning process.
Because of the scheme’s size and its closeness to Long Wittenham, it is likely to affect many people in the village. The Parish Council has prepared a short briefing note, “What it is and how to have your say”, to explain the proposal and how you can take part.
The briefing note is available on the Parish Council’s website:
Comments from individual residents count in their own right, separately from the Parish Council’s response. You are encouraged to read the note and give your views through the routes it describes. If you have any questions, or would like the Parish Council to know your views, please email clerk@longwittenham-pc.gov.uk.

This webpage with survey link (above), was made available on Monday 5th October, for all Parish Council residents in South Oxfordshire affected by the White Horse Reservoir.
It is believed this will be a fair local reflection, FOR, or AGAINST the Reservoir.
The survey was opened from the 5th October for four weeks.

I am equally, if not more, concerned for the outcome of the forthcoming Planning Appeal which will shortly be heard for a further 200 houses around Wigbolds, at the end of the long straight road out of Didcot, which would considerably impact our parish.
